			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A few weeks ago, prolific blogger Justin Hayford at the Chicago AIDS Legal Council (http://alcc-legalpad.blogspot.com/) posted a terrific article on how to get presumptive benefits when applying for Social Security disability. This means that they give you your benefits NOW, and verify the medical records later.  As you can imagine, it is reserved for serious and immediately apparent situations, but he argues it is under-used.
